This leaflet informs about the IUCN approach that optimizes biodiversity, catchment values and productivity of forest landscape within the watershed of the Miyun Resevoir in China. This approach is an initiative in cooperation with the Beijing Forestry Society (BFS) and local government authorities. It briefly explains the objectives, project tasks, and  future achievements.

This short presentation was held by a representative of the Forestry Commission Scotland, during a field trip to the Great Trossachs Forest. This field trip was part of the 18th Commonwealth Forestry Conference which was held in Edinburgh in 2010.
