New GFW Biodiversity maps help prioritize areas for conservation

Two new global datasets released on Global Forest Watch (GFW) enable us to say more about where forest biodiversity is located and how it is impacted by human disturbance.

The new “biodiversity significance” layer on GFW shows a visual representation of how important each pixel on the map is for conserving biodiversity (or how devastating it would be to lose).
