The Global Partnership on Forest and Landscape Restoration (GPFLR) is proud to take part in the 11th World Conference on Ecological Restoration (SER2025), a key global event bringing together experts, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and civil society to discuss the future of ecological restoration around the world. From September 30 to October 4, our members and partners will be leading symposia, workshops, and discussions on the topic of restoration and its vital importance for our planet.
A major highlight of the week is that GPFLR will host the symposium: “Implementation of Forest and Landscape Restoration: Global and Regional Mechanisms and Initiatives”, taking place on October 4th, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This session will bring together leading voices from GPFLR partner organizations, including FAO, WRI, and Commonland, to share their experiences and contributions to the implementation of forest and landscape restoration (FLR) at both regional and global levels. Through concrete case studies and strategic frameworks, the session will showcase how FLR is being applied across diverse contexts and geographies.
