WWF Blog: Forest restoration on the March

wwf

On 1 March, the UN General Assembly declared 2021-2030 the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, a welcome step to energize action around landscape restoration. It will help not only to galvanize government and private sector commitments, but also to bring this issue on the forefront of consumers, who are increasingly becoming more aware of the valuable benefits nature provides.

As we gear up for Earth Hour, the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, it is critical to encourage people to contribute to greening the world. Join us on Saturday, 30 March 2019, 8.30 p.m. local time to turn the lights off in your building and promote your messages on why nature matters through the Earth Hour open-source platform, by sharing the video, and joining the conversation on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
